Testimonial from a recent Exam Prep student and new PMP:
"In preparation for the PMP exam I took a 40-hour, five-day intensive study course that left me feeling burned out at the end of the day. Worse, at the end of it, I didn't understand exactly what I needed to study to pass the exam because the course focused on the supplemental material and not the PMBOK. For the next several months, I took the available practice tests and reviewed the course material, but found that I was totally unprepared for the exam. Then I heard about the course offered by the PMI-NU Chapter and decided that I would enroll to help me through my study-hurdles. Unlike the first course, this one was held on four consecutive Saturdays. The Saturday schedule gave me time to digest the material in-between sessions and dedicate two hours of study time every night. So instead of leaving class feeling burned out, I felt motivated to review the material all week! Not only was the classroom time more effective because we focused completely on the PMBOK, the supplemental study materials were excellent for reinforcing what we'd learned. In the end, the first course was a complete waste of time and money, but this course was exactly what I needed to pass the test. I recommend this format and their study materials 100% over the 5-day crash course."
