mentorship

Are you looking to break into Project Management, take a new step in your career, or just need to talk through situations and gather advice? If so, then the Mentorship Program might just be a good fit for you.

The mentorship program is designed to connect someone looking for help (the mentee) to a project management professional wanting to support and help people grow (the mentor) so they can work together to help the mentee develop a skill or gain knowledge.

How it Works

The mentorship program is 12 weeks where you and your mentor create a foundation, define objectives, execute on the plan, and build a structure to ensure future success.

What Can a Mentor Help Me With?

Two weeks doesn't seem like much time, but in that time, a mentor can help you:

  • ...establish goals for a project management career path
  • ...identify resources and create a plan to prepare for certification
  • ...organize your job search and/or prepare for a job interview
  • ...create a plan to deal with specific project challenges
  • ...by being a sounding board and providing an objective viewpoint

My mentor asked a lot of questions, took the time to understand, found out where I was coming from, and then offered her input and guidance. I think this approach is a lifetime skill.

Testimonial 2

I felt like I had a safety net underneath me as I work through the process of implementing principles and policies.

Testimonial 3

I found fulfillment in working with my mentee.  She was able to articulate her challenges to me and she was open to discussion and suggestions as I shared my experiences with her.
